Biography

Allow me to introduce myself, Kingston Lo, a Jazz pianist, composer, devoted music educator based in Hong Kong, and a keyboard enthusiast. With a sincere love for music and a humble desire to inspire others, I strive to captivate audiences with my performances and guide students on their musical journeys. My debut single "Bedlam Waltz" is a collaboration work with The Code band members Gill Mok, ZiTi, and Maka.

I am fortunate to hold a Bachelor of Music in Musical Composition with first-class honors from Brunel University London, where I had the privilege of learning from exceptional mentors such as  John Bailey and  Tom Cawley.

My musical path took an unexpected turn when I became the keyboardist for the indie band, Franklin Telescope. (2016-2024) This experience humbled me and opened new creative avenues, allowing me to push the boundaries of my musical expression. Our humble blend of indie rock resonated with audiences globally, gaining recognition on platforms like White Noise Records and "J-Wave." I found great joy in composing melodies such as "Lovestruck" and our very first instrumental piece, "First Try," which were featured on our album, "Burst Into Your Quirky Soul."I have enjoyed collaborating with Triple G since 2016, and worked on his single 列車.

Beyond the borders of Hong Kong, I have been grateful for the opportunities to perform with HIRSK at Singapore's esteemed Baybeats 2023 and perform with Room 307 at Taiwan's "金音 Gima Asia Rolling Music Festival 2023" and "ISLAND's La Rue Music & Art Festival 2023."

As a music educator, it is my sincere goal to share my knowledge and passion, guiding students of all ages and skill levels on their unique musical journeys. Drawing upon my years of teaching experience, I am committed to nurturing their talents and helping them unlock their creative potential.

As a musician, I believe that music should be free and accessible for everyone to enjoy in all its forms. Therefore, genres, traditions, and history should not be barriers to musical expression but rather leverage to help one's musicality thrive.

Whether you are seeking music lessons or looking for collaboration, I am here for you. Please feel free to reach out, and let the music speaks.
